complete information about a new
Austin Organ.
Included here is a brief description
of the Austin Unit Organ.
The Chorophone was introduced in the
early 1920s as an
alternative to a large pipe for a
small space. Every major
builder had an equivalent. This
design evolved several times
to the Austin 5-7 (rank count), the
Austin 9-12, and the
interesting Austin Choral Series a relatively
straight
organ of 9 stops. The New Chorophone uses a simple
specification with unification only
within unison pitches.
Either instrument will be quoted
